Pepe MotM Ratings v Hammers

First half was awful but Arsenal won the game with a pretty devastating 10 minute spell. You could see the quality improve as they grew in confidence. Massive win for us as we have a tough run of games coming up. Great to hear away fans singing the We Love You Freddy song. Let's hope we have turned a corner.
Leno - 7. Not as busy as he has been but still reliable as ever. Don't like to think where we'd be without him.
Maitland-Niles - 5. Thought he improved towards the end but overall not a great performance, admittedly in far from ideal circumstances. Not impressed as he ducked out the way for their goal either.
Chambers - 6. Did okay, and playing CB doesn't expose his lack of quality going forward as it does at RB. Hope he keeps his spot.
Sokratis - 5. Still not great.
Tierney - 4. Feel for him. Wasn't playing well before his injury.
Xhaka - 4. On another night he could've given away a penalty and although he passed well at times he gave the ball away in dangerous areas too often.
Torreira - 5. Energetic but unconvincing. Played a part in the equaliser.
Pepe - 8. Few good runs in the first half saw him grow in confidence, then second half he scored his first goal from open play excellently and made Aubameyang's goal with a good ball in. Let's hope he has turned a corner.
Ozil - 6. Wasn't impressed with his first half as he missed our only chance but second half was better.
Martinelli - 7. He's deserved that start and he certainly made the most of his opportunity. His attitude is spot on. He will chase and he won't give up. Got the ball rolling with his first Premier League goal, the first of many.
Aubameyang - 6. Frustrating first half but as our confidence grew he also grew into the game, and took his goal well.
Kolasinac - 6. Injury doubt before the game forced onto the bench at the last minute. Thought he did well.
Guendouzi - 5. Got on the ball and got involved. Looked okay I thought.
Nelson - N/A. Few touches.
