    The Edinburgh City FC official website has confirmed that “this morning (the club) submitted a claim of wrongful dismissal to the Scottish FA's Compliance Officer."

    A 1-1 draw at Meadowbank Stadium yesterday means the winner of the play-off for a place in the SPFL League Two next season remains in the balance after the first leg.  

  • Chris Townsley - Player of the Year 2015-16

    Chris Townsley’s senior career began on 30 July 2004 when he signed for Alloa Athletic. During his six years at Recreation Park he made 199 appearances for the Wasps. He then spent a year with Spartans before returning to the SFL on 10 June 2011 with Berwick Rangers, for whom he played sixty times over his two seasons at Shielfield Park.

    East Stirlingshire’s Chris Townsley, who hails from Edinburgh, has told the Evening News he would love to see his home city gain a third representative in the SPFL alongside Hearts and Hibs – as long as it doesn’t happen this year.

    Edinburgh City FC have confirmed on their website - http://www.edinburghcityfc.com/ - that the admission prices for the first leg of the League Two Play Off to be played at Meadowbank Stadium on Saturday 7 May, kick off 3pm, will be their usual Lowland League prices:

    It is known that a number of Shire supporters from outside Scotland intend to be at Meadowbank Stadium on Saturday to watch the Shire play Edinburgh City in the first leg of the League Two Play Off.
