News has been released by the board that Ronnie MacDonald has removed his bid for Dumbarton. The bid which was warmly received by all Sons fans was seen as a major step forward for the club but Dumbarton's directors reluctance to release club accounts has apparently caused these latest developments.

has been released by Dumbarton FC that Ronnie MacDonald has removed
his bid for Dumbarton. The bid which was warmly received by all
Sons fans was seen as a major step forward for the club but
Dumbarton's directors appear to have dithered too long with their
insistence that they would not entertain negotiations until the season
was over.
Club website supremo Jim McAllister
revealed via email the following

have been asked to issue the following statement.
The Board of Directors heve recieved notice from Ronnie
McDonald to the effect
that he has withdrawn his interest in acquiring the controlling
interest in
Dumbarton Football Club. Nol further details are currently available

still insists that he wants to be Sons new owner as he stated:
"Dumbarton can't let me see
their books until the summer and things are no further
forward."
"I'm disappointed and my
accountants have told them that I won't be pursuing my
interest."
"But I'd still like to
become involved with Dumbarton and create a real community
club."
"I've knocked back
approaches from five first division clubs."
It appears that Mr.MacDonald
still has his sights set on the Sons but how long he puts up with
the shenanigans of the current board are anyones guess.
