Paddy signs 3 year deal

According to newspaper reports Sons top striker Paddy Flannery has re-signed for the club. In a week where everyone else was resigning this is a real boost for the support. Flannery has been the top goalscorer for the club since he since he joined from Morton.

The reports claim Flannery knocked back offers from Forfar, Hamilton and even First Division Alloa and St.Mirren to continue his carrer at The Rock.

While the majority of Sons fans will welcome the news, if it is confirmed, that our only real goal-threat of last season has re-joined the club the vocal minority who call for Paddy's head every match (you know who you are) may still be disappointed. Tough.

We'll need all the goals we can muster next season in what will be a hard division - especially if, as other rumours suggest, we are about to enter the campaign with an untrained manager like Kenny Brannigan.
