Walsall must be sick of the sight of us , as we score another 3 past the saddlers in a comfortable reserve victory.

The first game of a new avon insurance league season started with an away game at local rivals Walsall , the Saddlers defeated 3-1 at Molineux in the Nationwide league a week back, was an incentive to win this reserve clash infront of a 720 strong crowd.

Straight from the off Wolves went at Walsall and created a chance immediatly ,with Adam Proudlock getting into space in the area but shooting straight at Walsall keeper Gavin Ward.

Wolves went infront in the ninth minute from George Ndah , it was branch that set up the chance by crossing in from the right and there was Ndah to ease the ball past Ward and put Wolves 1 up.

Straight after that chance George Ndah was thwarted by Gavin Ward again ,the keeper spilled the shot and presented Proudlock with another chance that was cleared well off the line by Gavin Caines.

After all that Wolves pressure Walsall had there first effort when Caines fired over from just outside the Wolves box, Herivelto fired straight at Matt Murray in the Wolves goal which was unlucky from the Brazilian's piont of view.

Half Time Walsall 0 Wolves 1

Walsall started the brighter in the second half and with an hour gone Rodrigeuz forced an excellent save from Matt Murray, just before that chance though Wolves had Kevin Cooper booked for a mistimed challenge on former Wolves trailist Roberto Martinez.

Wolves went 2-0 up when a fine through ball by from George Ndah found an open Adam Proudlock who advanced into the area and drove the ball into the top corner form 12 yards.

By now the experience of Wolves showed and we went 3-0 up when Cooper found Michael Branch free on the back stick and Branch did the easy part and headed it into an almost empty net.

With the game closing to a halt Wolves should have made it 4 when the impressive Kevin Cooper hit the post when put through by Adam Proudlock.

Before the game Kevin Cooper stated he wanted to play in this game to force him into the reckoning for saturday against Derby on this showing even against a youthful Walsall side he has a claim to a starting Jersey.
