Out Of Darkness Cometh Light (or so they say)

Looking at the teams for this fixture, Wolves are the better team. Infact every Wolves player is better than the opposite number on todays visiting squad list. We lost 3-1.

Today I witnessed a side who showed no Pride, no Determination and no Effort.

Jones made changes to the side today. Marc Edworthy was at Right Back, Kenny Miller started in Attack and Ndah played on the left.

Murray, Edworthy, Irwin, Butler(c), Lescott, Rae, Ingimarsson, Newton, Ndah, Blake and Sturridge.

The game started off with little to shout about for either team. Blake had an effort turned round for Wolves and as usual the resulting corner came to nothing.

It was Wolves however who took the lead in this game. George Ndah won the ball on the left, he used his speed and crossed the ball low along the 6yrd line which was rifled into the top corner of the net by Uniteds Ullathorne. With minutes of the half remaining Wolves were in front, although the last Two Wolves goals scored were both Own Goals.

Disaster however struck for Wolves in the 4th Minute of injury time. Irwin lost the ball on the left and the ball was crossed into the area where Tonge smashed the ball low against Lescott who could only help its way on to the back of the net.

The Second half started in dramatic style, with goals at the plenty. Within 2 Minutes of the restart United were ahead. Wayne Alison headed a Ullathorne cross into the back of the net. Wolves were losing, and it was to get worse.

Less than Two minutes later Tonge hooked the ball over Murray from 15yrds to make the game 3-1 with only 49 minutes played.

Chances then came few and far between as Jones started clutching at straws. First Cooper was sent on for Ndah, Sturridge for Newton and Ince for Ingimarsson, the scoreline didn`t change and Dave Jones finds himself under pressure.
