Ward Linked To Stoke Job

Reports in local newspaper Express And Star today have linked Wolves number 2 John Ward to the vacant managers position at Stoke.

Wolves number John Ward is another name being linked with the job at Stoke as well as Peter Reid and George Burley , will he this time fly the nest back into management as he nearly did when applying for the position at Watford in which he failed to get the job or will he be destined to stay on at Wolves again.

With money tight these days in the Nationwide league especially at Stoke ,he may be the frontrunner in getting the job as the other two names linked would be a more expensive to get , no doubting his talents has number 1 as proved at Bristol City but he would be sadly missed if he did leave Wolves .

John Ward is still on a rolling one year contract, but has stated in the past he would like to move up the ladder again to manage his own club.
There has been no contact between either clubs at this present moment , Dave Jones said about the matter "We haven't heard anything but, like the Watford situation, I'm sure John would tell me if there was anything going on,"
