Same Old Story - Wolves 1 Brighton 1

Well, Wolves unbeaton in 5 going into the game, Brighton sit rock bottom of the Division. Over £15 Million worth of Wolves players on display for the Molineux outfit, it was just going to be a walker wasnt it.

Errrrrrm, No

Once again Wolves were outplayed, outclassed and out-thought by the team who are currently rock bottom of the Nationwide League Division One.

 Its apparent that the Wolves players believe that they only have to turn up to win these type of games, but the History between these two clubs proves that the points wont be in the bag by just turning up.

For the Record:

Wolves have only ever beaten Brighton at Molineux once, Brighton have won 6 times, and the scores have been even once (including the latest fixture)

 Wolves were without Blake, Ince and Ndah all through injury but the starting 11 was still as good as any other team in this Division : Murray Clyde Lescott Irwin Edworthy Rae (C) Ingimarsson Cooper Kennedy Miller Sturridge.

 Wolves had a game plan - To hold on to the ball for as long as possible, wait for the chance, then bang. Easier said than done, as it was Bobby Zamora who struck the first goal of the game after some awful defending from Wolves. Irwin cleared the ball up the field, a Brighton player played it through the middle, the defense fell asleep, Zamora chiped Murray from 10 yrds with Murray grounded, simple, 0-1.

 As usual the Wolves midfield was no where to be seen in the first half, but after the break the Wolves found some form. Rae found time on the ball, Sturridge and Miller went very close and the Wolves upped the tempo. Dave Jones throws on Keith Andrews and Shaun Newton in hope that that Wolves find a goal, even a lucky deflection would have done, then on 76 minutes Wolves draw level, and yes, it was a lucky deflection. Miller cracked a half-volley into the arse of Alex Rae, the ball rolled into the bottom corner 1-1.

 That was it really, Wolves seemed to play out for the draw, a fantastic display from Brighton, a pathetic display from Wolves (again).

 3 points taken from the last 9, Jones really does need to be careful, thats if its not already, too late.
