Wolves Optimistic on TV Coverage

STATS & FACTS: Wolves knocked out Champions league contenders 3-2 in round 3 and Leicester in round 4 whilst Rochdale had their own fair share of Giant Killings, dumping Preston and Coventry out of the competition.
Wolves are awaiting news regarding the possibility of the Fifth round FA Cup tie, at home to Rochdale being screened Live on Television.
Molineux officials are additionally optimistic that the tie will be chosen for live coverage, especially after the excitement and heroics in the live Sky Spots game against Newcastle United. At first glance, the visit of the major fourth-round giant-killers and the lowest-ranked club left in the competition appears one of the four most attractive ties of the next stage.
So, if the television companies follow last weekend's format by screening a quartet of games, they could well find themselves playing on either the Saturday lunchtime or Sunday afternoon of the Cup weekend of February 15-16 - and banking a handy sum.
The Tie against Rochdale was accepted with mixed emotions, but Ex-Wolf, Paul Simpson appeared happy with the tie, decided at 1.30 on Monday.
"This is a fantastic tie for us, It's a great game for us to look forward to.
"Nobody expected us to get to this stage, so, just to be here is fantastic.Wolves are one of the biggest clubs in the First Division, it's a great place to go to and hopefully we won't let ourselves down."
Wolves signed Rochdales 500-1 to win the cup Manager Paul Simpson in the Mark McGhee era from Derby County, initially on loan and then in a £75,000 deal. Simpson also played for Wolves in the semi-final of the FA Cup where Wolves were beat 1-0 by Arsenal at Villa Park.
Meanwhile Dave Jones admitted how he "laughed" when they were drawn against Rochdale, however he was not laughing at Rochdale, merely to the irony of Paul Simpson coming back to Molineux.
"We laughed when Rochdale's name came out because all of the lads had only just been saying that it would be ironic if Paul Simpson came back here. If you are going to do well in the Cup, you need luck with home draws and I was really pleased that our name came out first."
