Match Thread: Nottingham Forest v Wolves 7.3pm KO 11.02.2026
By Ivybridge Wolf February 11 2026
Another fixture in a busy February for Wolves (only two games scheduled in March) at the City Ground, Nottingham. Is there any prospect of an upset here, any chance of Wolves sneaking a result? Wolves have previously had a good record versus Nottingham Forest, but fortunes have reversed of late, Forest looking for their third straight win, though in a twist of statistics, Wolves haven’t lost any of the last nine games at the City Ground! In terms of an upset, Forest have slowly but surely been falling down the table and were it not for a late, late Manchester United equaliser at West Ham last night, Forest would only be outside relegation on goal difference. With indifferent form, perhaps Wolves could target at least a point tonight …… or is that just wishful thinking?! Okay, we haven’t won a premier league away game in the last 14, the worst run since winless away 2003/04 season.
Wolves are looking backwards again to their last win, another defeat on Saturday with Chelsea victors and the Old Gold a long way off gaining the three points. There were some positives though, Wolves were the better side prior to going behind, and there was encouragement from good contributions from Mane and Angel Gomes. The most disappointing observation was how Wolves completely lost their way after going one nil down, and whilst Wanderers played better in the second half, even won it, the fixture was gone after Cole Palmer’s first half hattrick.
Naturally Edwards will be preparing his side for the best possible result this evening, though has some issues to address, such as whether Doc will start (after his half time substitution at the weekend) and what’s the situation with Hwang? Perhaps selecting the eleven players who started the second half would be a reasonable choice for tonight? Wolves really want a win, however Forest, in front of their fans, really need the win tonight to keep the Iron knocking on their heels and the pressure will be on them. Additionally, MGW will surely want to ensure Wolves’ miserable season continues, he does seem to gain pleasure from beating Wanderers.
The match is televised again tonight, on Sky, with a 7.30pm kick off. Enjoy the match and please leave your comments and thoughts in the thread below.
Good luck to the team, UTW!!

We've had a 'hurrah' v West Ham ..... and West Ham and Everton in the league cup. And Shrewsbury in the cup. In fact we're positively swimming in hurrahs!!
This one’s live on tv where I live so I’ll be “enjoying” my lunchtime treat. Hwang still injured, blissfully, and the bench strewn with Summers bargain basement buys.
Love to see us clobber Forest especially if MGW gets a red. Yes all that’s left this season is watching the clock tick down and vindictiveness.
Awful first half, not sure how we are still level, it makes you wonder what our lot do in training.
Carries on like this 2nd half its going to end one way, a forest win.
Another 90 minutes of complete Dross but somehow we come away with a Draw, just shows you how bad forest are.
I've got a feeling they will be coming down with us, they are poor.
That was a really poor quality match, definitely not one for the neutral. How Forest managed not to win was down to a real mix of poor attacking play, terrible crossing, some reasonable defending at times and total luck. In the end we could have won it right at the death which would have been incredible, verging on the unbelievable.of course we didn’t.
Still a point towards the elusive 12 point total, just a win in our next league match v Arsenal and the quest is complete!!!
It seems that the better form held at the early part of January has diminished, yet another point towards championship football.
On tonight’s effort, Grimsby will fancy themselves on Sunday.
Terrible match. Two pi55 poor teams. We were so bad we hardly mounted an attack, against a rubbish Nottingham bl00dy Forest, and they were so bad they couldn't do anything with all the possession they had. I'm not keen on this system we play with a centre -forward and two wide men, he's stranded on his own half the time with no support. Even Strand Larsen scored two tonight now he's playing for someone else.
