 Miller Aims High

Every Striker has a figure in his mind which he wishes to meet every season. Miller is no different, but who would have thought that Miller would be aiming for 30 at the start of the season?

The former Rangers striker has set his sights at scoring 30 goals this season, something which, should he pull it off would lift the player into something of hero status.

Nobody, since Steve "The Legend" Bull has anyone taken their goal tally past the 20`s but this is something Kenny Miller is hoping to do as Wolves head towards Nottingham for Friday Nights game against Nottingham Forest at the City ground.

Miller has scored 21 goals this season in league and cup matches and Miller heads into the final 5 games with 15 goals in his previous 15 league outings leaving his 30 goal tally a realistic possibility.

Talking to league sponsors Nationwide, Kenny Miller said

"There’s a lot more satisfaction from this run than anything I did at Rangers, And that includes when I scored five in one game against St Mirren.

"This spell shows consistency and, when I look back, I regard it as a pretty decent achievement. When I was playing before Christmas the chances seemed to come at about one every three games. Now they are coming a lot more often.

"It’s a killer when you don’t score goals because that’s what, as a striker, you are judged on - and I’ve loved scoring goals since I was ten!"

Wolves scored 76 goals last season, and are currently on 69 goals this season and should Wolves reach 78 goals, it will be the first time they have been so prolific in any season since the 1988/89 when they won the old Third Division scoring an amazing 96 times.

In that season, the legend, Steve Bull hit over 50 goals for the second successive season, and Miller would have to average more than a goal again to become the first 30 goal a season striker since Steve Bull.

Wolves have scored 31 goals in the last 14 games, and are hitting form at just the right time.
