 Sir Jack: This Is Our Year

Sir Jack Hayward returned from his World Cruise on Friday to try and promote the promotion push for this year - and what a start he has made.

 Sir Jack was at the home game against Millwall on Saturday where Cameron and a Newton double gave Wolves an easy 3-0 win and Sir Jack traveled to Norwich on Monday and again witnessed a 3-0 win over Norwich - this win however confirmed Wolves of a Play-Off place leaving Wolves with a 25% chance of reaching the promised land next year.

 Its time though, for everyone to start asking the annual questions, "Is this Wolves year?" and in an interview with the Times Sir Jack believed it was.

 I’m thinking that this is our year,

I’ve been told not to book my hotel in Cardiff but one has to be hopeful. Recent displays have been very good.

“When you’re knocking 80 you have to think of things but I’m a Wolves boy and I can’t just walk away. This is a dream and I’ll enjoy Rachael (Heyhoe Flint, a club director) driving me to Manchester rather than Norwich. Getting there is one battle, staying there another and we’d have to consolidate. I just hope the Grim Reaper allows me to enjoy it.”

Sir Jack also mentioned that should Wolves fail to make the Premiership then he`d have to think about his position as Chairman saying 

“There’d obviously be tremendous disappointment, as there was last season, and one would have to rethink.

“I’m not looking at that, though. I’m looking forward to gaining promotion and getting cheques from Sky and Rupert Murdoch rather than me writing them all.”

 Sir Jack also confirmed that the John Ireland would be named after Steve Bull from next season. Sir Jack jokingly added "The new logo isn’t up yet because we can’t afford the lettering”
