With both Wolves and Sheffield United already assured a Play-Off place both managers opted to make changes in what was to be a six-goal thriller at the home of the Blades, Bramall Lane. 

Neil Warnock rested Carl Asaba and Michael Tonge whilst Wolves manager rested Paul Ince, Denis Irwin, Shaun Newton and were without Nathan Blake who was suspended, Paul Butler took the captains armband.

S.United were 1-0 up after just 2 minutes. Peschisolido charged down a Lescott clearance and the former Blues striker lifted a lob over Murray to open the scoring.

Wolves however were level ten minutes later. A counter attack involving Dean Sturridge found George Ndah who made no mistake in knocking the ball past Paddy Kenny in the Sheffield goal.

 Sturridge then went close again, hitting the post but was on the score sheet on 45 minutes. Sturridge found the ball at the far post, and with a touch to set himself up he lashed a volley past Kenny into the back of the net.

Wolves dominated the first half, but the second was ruled by Sheffield United.

 With less than 10 Minutes on the clock in the second half United were level. Lescott made a shoulder barge on Kabba but the ex-Grimsby forward appeard to fall very easily, the ref pointed to the spot and and Michael Brown scored the penalty.

 With game poised at 2-2, it was time for another goal. Robert Page brought down Colin Cameron in the box and Dean Sturridge slotted the ball past Kenny to send the Wolves fans into party mood.

 But for the second time in two weeks United scored in Injury time. Peschisolido made the most of a defensive error and lashed a volley past Murray in the Wolves goal.

 The game was equal, but who would bet against the two teams meeting again in a couple of weeks?
