 Wolves Goalkeeper Matt Murray claims Wolves are raring to go for their first ever season the Barclaycard Premiership which Kicks Off at Ewood Park on Saturday.

 At the Millennium Stadium in May Wolves ended their 19 year absence from the top flight and on Saturday the Barclaycard Premiership kicks off, and for the first time ever, it will include Wolves.

 Wolves pre-season program hasn`t been the greatest, infact the 6-1 defeat at the hands of Morecambe can only be described as pathetic, but the performance against Boavista on Friday, with a Wolves squad full of new names and faces impressed the 10,300 fans who turned out.

 Goals from Latvian trialist Maris Verpakovskis and Steffen Iversen confirmed a two nil win in a game dominated by Wolves and Matt Murray believes it was a good work-out, he also talks about how the players cannot wait for the Barclaycard Premiership to begin. 

 The Cardiff Penalty Saver told the Birmingham Post "It was a good workout against Boavista and, touch wood, I've not had any repercussions, I feel good, in shape, and ready, if selected, for the game at Blackburn.

"It only seems like yesterday we were playing in Cardiff but we can't afford to dwell on last year.

"Everyone associated with the club, players, staff and supporters - the whole city - just cannot wait for the season to start."
