Mark Kennedy, George Ndah, Joleon Lescott, Kenny Miller and possibly Shaun Newton are all out of Wolves opening Premiership Game against Blackburn in two days time.

Mark Kennedy is struggling with ligament damage he sustained in a friendly recently, whilst Lescott is still suffering from his pre-season operations which he had in both knees.

Kenny Miller is still struggling with his recovery from his hernia operation and Shaun Newton has today missed training due to an eye infection.

Jones told the new-look WOW "We knew yesterday that Newts was suffering but we are hopeful that the medication will have done its job by saturday".

"The operation that Joleon Lescott, Kenny Miller and George Ndah have had over the close season always meant that they would be struggling for the start"

"But then Mark Kennedy hurt his ankle in the friendly at Swindon and that turned out to be more serious than we first thought"

Jones however does have replacements. Jody Craddock is expected to take over the Centre Back spot from Joleon Lescott, Cooper could possibly have Kennedys spot whilst any one from Stefen Iversen, Henri Camara, Dean Sturridge and Nathan Blake can take over from Miller.
