Wolverhampton Wanderers have today dismissed reports in weekend papers that they are prepared to swoop for Leeds United full-back Danny Mills. Reports in some of Sundays weekend National Newspapers reported that Danny Mills had been offered in a loan deal to Wolves as the Yorkshire club try and clear their wage bill. Mills is reportedly on £40,000 a week and is on a 4 year contract, however the full-back, named in the England squad this week was not even named in Leeds` squad against Newcastle, an Alan Shearer late leveler ensured both teams would take a point in the 2-2 draw at the Elland Road clash. Reports about Mills were bolstered after Wolves terrible start to the Premiership, losing 5-1 at Blackburn Rovers. However Chef Exec Jez Moxey confirmed Wolves were once interested in Mills, but lost interest. "It is completely untrue that we are going for Danny Mills," the club's chief executive Jez Moxey told the Express and Star. "He has not been offered to us by Leeds. He is someone we spoke about two months ago, but that's as far as it went."
