Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly agreed a deal to sign former Middlesbrough Midfielder Emerson in a hope he can revive Wolves season. Dave Jones has made the fact that he is after a centre midfield man no secret, especially after losing out on Amdy Faye and losing interest in Dino Baggio and Kallstrom. Planet Football today claim that Emerson has agreed a deal with Wolves after the midfield man fell out of favour at Atletico Madrid. The fee, is believed to be a knocked-down £800,000 as Madrid are keen to get the player of the wage bill. Reports suggest that Emerson will fly to Molineux tomorrow and if personal terms can be agreed, the 31 year old should sign a Wolves deal early next week, possibly in time for Wolves trip to Manchester United on Wednesday.
