We are approaching the return of Kenny Miller and Wolves fans must be expecting all sorts of miracles from the one lone guy up front. I fear it will take a team effort bordering on the frantic to take this season by the scruff of the neck. We hear that Dave Jones is feeling confident about the season and that the team will turn it around. 

I am from the positive wing of Wolves supporters but I feel that to placate the many thousands of anxious and despondent fans the team needs to show some 'blood and guts' football. I watched a very frantic Leicester side wear down a Leeds side who never came to terms with a team willing to run down the ball and chase lost causes. When Leicester realised they were winning the battle their confidence over-spilt into great goals, and perhaps one of the goals of the season. 

Wolves are more than capable of this type of play and many who saw the Newcastle game last season at Molineux or on the television can never forget the way they bore down on the Newcastle goal with power and pace. Yes we are missing a few at the front and the back but nevertheless it shows we are capable of reaching those dizzy heights again. 

Can we beat Chelsea? Personally I feel we can, and before we get the flying pigs raining down on me remember we let Manchester United off the hook and should really have buried them or at least a draw.

I think we have to accept the Manchester United are still the best team in the land and their Champions League success compared with the other 'big' teams in the Premiership stands up to scrutiny. 

I do not think it sensible to play the defensive holding game, they are expecting us to be relatively easy fare. What needs to be done is to come out fight certainly with two thirds of the team and keep the game reasonably high up on the field. The Goalkeeper whoever he is must be alert and form a sub- sweeper role. Yes, Chelsea are good enough to outdo us but we must be sharp and up for the game.  The Wolves fans must play a big part in giving the team encouragement and strong vocal support. 

This start in the Premiership has been without question a very painful and humbling experience for all Wolves fans. But the impression I get from reading all the posts and discussions I have is that the average fan would like to see us doing well in the Premiership and they are as surprised as we all are at this painful episode.

 I feel the Management and players are trying to reassure the supporters that all will be well and things will turn I hope so because it would be a fantastic season if Wolves were able to survive this period.  I think the Players and Management owe us that for the humiliation that we all have felt over the last few weeks. We shall see how sincere they are over the next few weeks of Premiership football.
