Wolverhampton Wanderers are to remain quiet about how negotiations, regarding the selling of the Football Club are going on. Sir Jack announced last Thursday that he is to "hand over" Molineux to a new owner. The 80 year old, who spent over £80M of his own money to get Wolves into the Premiership is stepping down as Chairman. He has waved all debt the club owes him and is prepared to "hand over" the ownership of the Football Club to anyone with enough ambition and Money to take the club forward. A lot of Media attention will obviously surround Wolves in the next few months as Molineux Chiefs look to hand the club over to new owners, however Chief Executive Jez Moxey has announced that any negotiations will not be made public. Moxey told WOW "It is still only a few days since Sir Jack made his statement and therefore one can`t realistically expect an immediate rush of people waving cheques at us". Moxey added "For obvious reasons, we will not conduct negotiations through the media - serious business people do not do that. From our point, any talks with potential investors will always be treated in a professional and private and confidential manner". Moxey also adds that they have one approach from someone interested in buying shares, the man believed to be Carl Painter, a self-made millionaire who is willing to put £10m into the club. However, as Moxey added in his interview with WOW, "For obvious reasons, we will not conduct negotiations through the media - serious business people do not do that", Mr Painter has done the exact opposite, infact he has even told the Express and Star that he has visions of seeing Wolves in Europe. Express and Star, Carl Painter said "The
one thing I would like to see is Pierre Luigi Caligna refereeing at
Molineux because that would mean Wolves were in Europe, There is a lot
of hard work that has got to be done before that and you have got to
keep your feet on the ground and be sensible about things."
