It was Colin Camerons
75th minute header, the first Premiership goal at Molineux this season,
which earned Wolves their first Premiership win of the season.
The Players again showed
graft and determination, and this is something in particular which
pleased manager Dave Jones who hailed his Players after the game
yesterday.
Jones told the BBC "We
had the determination to put things right and it was down to hard graft
from the players.
"It wasn't so much getting
the three points, it was the manner in which we won the game.
"Every player who put a shirt
on deserves credit because people around here were beginning to get a
bit desperate and this takes that away." Wolves should have earned
their first win last weekend at the Reebok Stadium, but a late Kevin
Davies goal earned a point for either side after Alex Rae`s superb
volley had put Wolves into the lead. "We could not miss that
opportunity against Manchester City.
"It was probably a must-win
game because it was about confidence.
"It was a great team effort
which has sent all the fans home with a feelgood factor. Now we have to
do it again and again until the end of the season." Wolves
