Nigerian International Defender Isaac Okoronkwo believes he will get his
chance in the Wolves first team once key players start to pick up
injuries. Isaac
Okoronkwo was Dave Jones` first Premiership Summer signing, but the tall
Nigerian International is yet to start a league game for Wolves. The
one start Okornkwo does have to his name came in the 2-0 win against
Darlington in the Carling Cup, but he believes once he gets his chance
in the first team, he will have to play so well that the Manager has no
option but to keep him in the team. Okoronkwo
says that it`s not frustrating not playing in the league as it is
something that all players have to face up to in their careers at one
time or another. "I
wouldn`t say it was frustrating for me not to have played in the league
yet, because it is something all players have to from time to time in
their careers. I will face it and get over it. It`s a long season, there
are bound to be injuries, and so what I have to do is make sure I`m
training well so I`m ready when the Boss needs me. And when I get a game
in the Cup or Reserves I have to play so well that he has no option but
to play me in the first team". Okoronkwo
signed for Wolves on a one years contract and is battling for one of the
Centre-Back spots with the impressive duo of Jody Craddock and club
Captain Paul Butler, whilst Joleon Lescott and Mark Clyde are working to
full fitness following long-term injuries. "Off
the pitch I`ve really settled in well" said Okoronkwo. "I`ve
got my place to live and all my furniture moved in so I can concentrate
