New Feature: Player Ratings for the Middlesbrough game. 2 late goals were enough to earn the hosts the points whilst Alex Rae was sent off in the last minute for two yellow cards.

	Michael Oakes	Made one or two punches from `Boro Corners, but had no real saves to make. No chance with the two goals.
	Lee Naylor	Was involved in the first goal. His clash with Danny Mills which later involved Paul Ince caused sloppy marking.
	Denis Irwin	Made one or two superb tackles and dealt with the threat of Mendieta well.
	Paul Butler	Some hard crunching tackles and his distribution was superb.
	Jody Craddock	Delt with the Corners better than he did against Leicester and made a last ditch tackle at the feet of Zenden
	Alex Rae	His sending off spoilt what was turning out to be another superb performance from the veteran.
	Joey Gudjonsson	Replaced Colin Cameron who was injured during the warm-up. Had one wild shot which amazingly cleared the stand at the Carlsberg end of the Riverside Stadium. Booked.
	Paul Ince	Superb performance from the former `Boro star. Won everything in midfield but was distracted along with Naylor for the first goal. Man Of The Match.
	Kenny Miller	Still looks unfit and is not as effective playing the Right-Wing role. Subbed just after the hour for Mark Kennedy.
	Henri Camara	Had an early chance, created by himself which he should have scored. Caused Boro all sorts of problems. If only he could hit the target.
	Steffen Iversen	Won almost everything in the air. Found it difficult playing as the lone-striker. Criticism he receives is harsh on this performance.
	Mark Kennedy	Replaced Kenny Miller. Provided a few crosses but had no real influence on the game.
	Silas	Replaced Joey Gudjonsson. Did nothing of note.
	Sub 3	Not used.
