6.20pm According
to reports, Wolves have won a race between themselves and Wimbledon to
sign Ipswich Town Goalkeeper Andy Marshall on a months loan. The
28 year old former Norwich City Goalkeeper has been overlooked at
Ipswich and it is believed Wolves have won a race between themselves and
Wimbledon for the `Keeper who is believed to have signed on a one month
loan at Molineux. Wolves
Manager Dave Jones has been given special dispensation from the Premier
League to sign a Goalkeeper, despite the Transfer Window for Premiership
Clubs being closed due to the `keeper crisis at Molineux currently. Cameroon
International Goalkeeper Carlos Kameni had joined Wolves on a seasons
loan in pre-season with a view to a possible £2M move but he had his
work permit denied and was forced to leave Wolves after staying just a
few days. Jones is however still expected to make a move for Kameni in
the January transfer window. Matt
Murray, who was last seasons number one shot-stopper at Wolves picked up
a injury on International duty and Michael Oakes stepped between the
sticks and, after some fantastic performances has not looked back. Murray
then broke a bone in his foot during a training session, leaving Wolves
with just one senior keeper at the club. After two requests for special
dispensation the Premier League finally agreed.
