Wolves Portuguese International Silas believes he will get his chance at Wolves but blames his recent ineffective performances on "Negative Football".

Portuguese International Silas believes he will get his chance at Wolves
but blames his recent ineffective performances on "Negative
Football". After
some very impressive Pre-Season performances from the Midfielder Fans
would be surprised that the player, once billed by one National paper as
"A headline waiting to happen" has only started two
Premiership games all season. However
Silas believes he will get his chance and believes Fans have not seen
the best of him as Wolves play negative football in a bid to avoid the
drop at the end of this season. “The
fact we are playing not to get relegated doesn’t help. I’m forced to
defend too much." said Silas.
“We
don’t play attractive football and that doesn’t help technical
players like me." “I
recognise that it goes against my footballing nature and I’m
disappointed that I’m not playing as I want." “It
would be different if we were playing to win because, when you play with
a noose around your neck, the football is different." “Wolves
play not to lose and that means I feel disheartened, especially as I’m
not playing as much as I had hoped.” Silas
is desperate to get his chance, but despite only a tiny bit of
Premiership this term he is still upbeat. I
think my moment will come,” said Silas “I
had hoped it would arrive sooner as I have worked hard but things also
depend on the manager’s decision. “I
signed a three-year contract, with an option for another year, and the
manager says that I am still going through a settling-in period, even
though I feel good. “I’m
not sorry I came here but I am not going to change the way I think. “I
prefer to change what is necessary and be patient. “I
have never been a strong defensive player but I know how to defend when
