Wolverhampton Wanderers Striker Henri Camara has been named as the 2003 Senegal Player Of The Year and he now believes he can help move Wolves away from the trouble of relegation.

Camara has impressed many at Molineux with his quick feet, pacey runs and great technique. Sadly, so far, he has been poor in front of goal, scoring just one goal and fluffing plenty of great chances.

It was believed that once Camara scored one, he would go on a nice little run of goal scoring, unfortunately since he hit the back of the net against Leicester he has been unable emulate his goal scoring touch.

The Senegal International had a golden chance to level the scores at White Hart Lane on Saturday but he managed to blaze over the bar from point-blank range, something which is proving to be the story of his season.

However the Striker who dons a pair of Orange Boots believe this award will help boost his confidence.

'The award will give me the extra confidence I need to help Wolves out of their current bad spell."

''Luck has deserted me this season, I get chances in every game but can't manage to convert them.'' He said.
