Wanderers called a press-conference at Molineux for this morning. As
a packed room sat down with their notepads and cameras at the ready, Sir
Jack Hayward ended his 13 year reign as Chairman of his world-famous
Wolverhampton Wanderers. Wolves
were once kings of the World, feared by the Real Madrids and loved by
Millions, but now it`s the job of new Chairman Rick Hayward to take this
massive club back to the big time, but first there is a small matter of
avoiding relegation. After
19 years in exile, Wolverhampton Wanderers made it back to the to the
Top Flight of English Football in May, but Wolves are currently
lingering in bottom place of the Premiership. The
26th May was dubbed the day that the "Giant Awoke", Sir Jack
Haywards dream came true, but now it feels its time to stand down as
Chairman. "I'm
taking over because I wanted to take the pressure off dad in every way
so he can enjoy his retirement." Rick Hayward said. "I
think it's unfair to keep tapping on his door saying 'please can we have
a cheque'? I shall be looking at many other ways of financing the

Jack still owns the Club, but now Rick Hayward has one task he must
