GEORGE NDAH has admitted that
this season has been a "nightmare" and for the majority of
this season this season Ndah has found it too difficult to watch games
at Molineux.
George Ndah played a huge part in
Wolves' promotion season. His quick feet and lightning pace scared the
life out of defenders, but sadly, the former Swindon Town man has yet to
put on a shirt in the Premiership.
Ndah has struggled with
injuries all his life and picked up another injury in the play-off
semi-final over reading last May. The injury was supposed to sideline
him for a few days but, ten months later, Ndah is still injured.
“If someone had said to me
back in May that I’d still be out in February or March I’d have said
‘no chance’. I don’t think anyone is to blame because no-one
thought it would take this long." Said Ndah
“It
wasn’t like when I broke my leg because everyone knows the drill for
that. You know it’s going to be six months or nine months and you can
cope with that. But when I went off against Reading no-one expected it
to be this long and that is the hardest thing to take.”
Ndah's
latest injury has not only effected him physically, but the London born
Stiker has been effected mentally also.
He
has missed many games this season at Molineux because he says watching
the games from the stands was to difficult for him.
“It’s
been really difficult for me, I couldn’t even go and watch a game
because it was a very hard thing for me to, but the club have understood
that." he said.
“It’s
hard for players to watch games from the stands at any time, but
watching Wolves in the Premiership was something I just couldn’t do.
There are all these world-class players I could have been playing
against it and just wouldn’t happen. It’s only recently that I’ve
been able to go to games and that’s because I can see some light at
the end of the tunnel.”
However,
Ndah is expected to see his specialist shortly who will hopefully give
him the OK to step up his light training. His pace will be a great help
to Wolves when he is fit, we all just hope it's sooner rather than
later.
