WOLVES and former Spurs striker
Steffen Iversen's days as a Wolves player are numbered as he has
admitted that he has attracted interest from other clubs.
Iversen has netted just four times
for Wolves this season, and with the arrivals of Carl Cort and Romanian
International Vio Ganea in the January Transfer Window the former Spurs
striker has seen himself slip down the striking pecking order.
Iversen's contract runs out at the
end of the season. "I haven't got any signals about anything at all
with Wolverhampton as to if they want to extend my contract or not, I
have been unfortunate also this year (with injury) and this is probably
not the best commercial for my career's future. But I know that some
clubs have shown interest. There are clubs both from England and on the
continent." Said Iversen.
Iversen scored on his debut in
Wolves 5-1 thrashing by Blackburn Rovers and has only netted three times
since from eleven appearances. His last goal came in a brace against
Leeds at Molineux towards the end of last season.
Iversen has been heavily linked
with Rosenborg, the side he started his career with, but the striker
claims it won't be Rosenborg he joins when he leaves Wolves.
"I will not move back to
Rosenborg for next season - that is too early, I have noticed that they
are interested and it's fun to be wanted. But I want to play abroad for
three or four more years before I eventually move home to Rosenborg
again." Iversen added.
