The Parachute Payment: What And How Much It Is

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS will receive a lump sum once relegation has been confirmed in the form of the "Premier League Relegation Parachute Payment"

Wolves' fate this season is yet to be confirmed, but barring something truly amazing, we can all safely say that Wolves will be playing Coca Cola Division One Football next season.

It is believed that relegation from the Premier League can cost in the region of Fifteen Million Pounds for some clubs, although due to the lack of summer spending, the parachute payment and the fact that 17,000 season tickets for next season has already been sold, Wolves will expect to announce a gain in profits next March when the half-year profits are announced.

Wolves can expect to receive money in the region of Six Million Pounds when relegation is confirmed and should Wolves fail to clinch promotion back to the Premier League next season, another Six Million Pounds will be granted.
