WOLVES
Club Captain Paul Butler has almost certainly played his last game for the
club. A move to Leeds or Derby County looks more likely for the former
Sunderland defender.
Paul
Butler made his comments regarding the contract situation at Molineux very
well known. The former Sunderland defender demanded a 2-year contract at
Molineux this Summer. Wolves however have called Butler's bluff by offering
just a one year deal and Butler is now set to leave Molineux.
Jonathan
Barnett who is acting as Agent for Paul Butler has said that no future talks
were planned and Butler is expected to move on and continue his playing career
elsewhere.
"We are not planning any further talks with Wolves," said Barnett.
Barnett also added "If they come back to us then fine, but we think that they have made us their best offer and we already have others to consider.
We will accept whatever offer is right for Paul. But as far as we are concerned it is unlikely that Paul will stay at Wolves."
Butler
was linked with a move to Derby Country several weeks ago, but Leeds United
now appear to be winning the race for his signature.
