Ganea Signs For Two More Years!

Romanian International Striker Vio Ganea has rejected offers from Charlton, Bolton, West Brom and Norwich City to re-sign for Wolverhampton Wanderes. The deal will keep him at Molineux until 2006.

The news that Ganea has signed will be greeted with great enthusiasm by the Gold and Black faithful after taking the Romanian to their hearts since he arrived at the club in January.

The Romanian International, who partners Chelsea's Adrian Mutu in attack for Romania has bagged an impressive 19 goals in 43 appearances for his country.

Ganea arrived at Molineux on a free transfer. He had previously bought his own contract out after his family were unable to settle in Turkey with Bursaspor.

“My family is happy here and I made the decision after speaking to them. The fans are fantastic and I thought about them also." Said Ganea


“Now I must concentrate on working hard ready for next season. We have to come back into the Premier League, we need to get there again for the fans." 

Dave Jones was also delighted that Ganea had put pen to paper. “Everything he does is about wanting the best. He is a ‘box’ player and his strength and determination are tremendous. He would run through brick walls for you and I’m very happy that he has decided to commit himself to Wolves for another two years.” Said Jones
