Club Captain On The Verge Of Leeds Move

Wolverhampton Wanderers club captain Paul Butler looks set to join Football League Championship rivals Leeds United.

Butler had asked Wolves for a two-year contract, but Wolves offered just one and now the player, who was almost an ever-present at Molineux last season is set to move on.

Indications suggest Butler is set to join Leeds United and Leed's defender Michael Duberry has been heavily linked with a move to Molineux in recent weeks.

Wolves have also been linked with Nigerian International Seyi Olofinjana, PSV's Kezman and Boavista Striker Soua but the first signing is still yet to be completed.

We reported yesterday that Nottingham Forest starlet Gareth Williams was believed to be on the verge of opening talks at Molineux. 

However the Scottish Midfielder has now accepted a contract with Nottingham's East Midlands rivals Leicester City.
