Butler Signs For Leeds United

Wolverhampton Wanderers' Club Captain Paul Butler has tonight signed a two-year deal with fellow League Championship rivals Leeds United.

Butler had made his intentions clear and put his views regarding his contract very much in the media spotlight.

Butler demanded a two-year contract from Wolves, but Molineux Officials only offered a one year contract and it has now been confirmed that Butler has signed for Leeds United.

Leeds United also signed Coventry Striker Julian Joachim earlier today.

“I’m delighted that Julian and Paul have agreed to join us, I’m sure they will be great assets to the club and bring with them a wealth of Premiership and First Division experience which is crucial." Said the Leeds Manager Kevin Blackwell.

“Julian scored an impressive nine goals in 11 games last season, and I’m sure he’ll be able to better that at Leeds United, while Paul Butler played some of his best football last season at Wolves.”
