Wolves Fans may have to watch the Away game against Millwall at a beam-back in Molineux after new plans by the London club to ban Wolves Fans from the New Den was announced Today.
It will be one of the biggest games for Wolves as we enter yet another promotion campeign however Millwall and the Metropolitan Police have put forward proposals to ban Wolves and several other clubs from the New Den in an attempt to cut down violence.
Burnley, Nottingham Forest, Stoke City, Portsmouth and Leicester City. are the other teams to face the same fate.
Wolves club secretary, Richard Skirrow told the Wolves Official Website “Whilst we understand that this will come as a disappointment to many fans, we hope that they will understand the need to help Millwall, and the game as a whole, to overcome the threat of violence.”
“Most of us were appalled by the scenes on television after the play-off game and although this may seem extreme, it will hopefully go some way towards solving the problem,”
The FA are yet to comment on the proposal, however Millwall will also be banned from Molineux should this go forward.
