WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers have said that a
"Faulty Batch" of shirts is to blame for the hundreds which were
returned to Molineux days after they went on general sale.
Many fans have been forced to return their
shirts, some of which cost £40 to the club shop as the new Chaucer logo peeled
off after just one wash.
The club were inundated with complaints and
300 shirts were returned as faulty.
Wolves head of retail, Peter Pridmore said
"The response to the shirt has been fantastic. So far we've sold about 10,000 shirts, but unfortunately it appears around 300 of those came from a faulty batch.
"It appears there has been a batch of shirts where the logo has not been properly stuck down."
