WOLVES will today race to complete the
signing of a 'top' loan Striker as Vio Ganea's replacement. However the player
will need to be signed by 5.00pm if he is to take part in tomorrows Molineux
clash against Leeds United.
Wolves' injury worries are now so serious
that Dave Jones only has ten outfield players available for selection in
tomorrows eagerly awaited Championship match against Leeds United at Molineux.
Kennedy and Bjorklund were both sidelined
for Six weeks following injuries picked up in Wednesday's draw with Preston and
they join the list which includes four strikers, one goalkeeper, two midfielders
and a defender.
Wolves suffered the huge blow earlier this
week when it was confirmed that Vio Ganea (pictured), who scored at Elland Road
against Leeds in the Premiership, would be ruled out for the season without even
kicking a ball in the newly renamed Coca Cola Championship.
Jez Moxey and Dave Jones, in light of
Ganea's injury, have turned their intentions to a mystery striker. However any
move for the striker, who would be signed on loan, must be made and completed by
5.00pm if he is to stand any chance of featuring in the game at Molineux
tomorrow.
Rumours surrounding the name of the mystery
striker have been doing the internet rounds, however Ipswich Striker Shefki Kuqi
is believed to be on the list of Wolves' targets.
The former Stockport striker, who had a
trial at Molineux, is not wanted by Ipswich due to his high wages the Ipswich
board are having to pay.
Czech Republic striker Heinz and Charlton's
Shaun Bartlett are two other names in the hat.
