WOLVES Striker Kenny Miller has admitted
that he is currently happy at Molineux, despite putting in a transfer request
during pre-season.
The Scottish International who has scored
twice in the opening three games of the season placed a transfer request on the
desk of the Molineux Chief Executive during pre-season.
The striker said at the time he was unhappy
with his position at the club and targeted a move away from Molineux to re-light
his career.
Miller was used as a bit-part player during
the club's Premiership campaign and he scored only two goals, albeit against
Manchester United and Liverpool.
However Miller - currently the only senior
fit striker at the club - is happy with his new role as an out and out striker,
apposed to the position on the wing he had to take up last season.
"I'm the only fit senior striker at the club right now so there's no chance of me going anywhere soon."
Said Miller.
"I've had a good pre-season and I'm playing and already scored a couple so I'm reasonably happy.
"The punters have been fine with me, I've not had any stick so far. A lot of them realise that last season was a nightmare for me and it was a hard situation.
"I want to play up front and that was the reason I considered leaving, it was nothing against the manager or the club.".
Miller is currently on International duty
and will be looking for his third goal of the season as he takes on Burnley at
Turf Moore on Saturday.
MEANWHILE Wolves drew 1-1 in a
behind closed-door's friendly at Port Vale yesterday. Matt Murray played the
whole 90 minutes whilst Carl Cort played the whole of the first half.
