OPINIONS | DESPITE six points from the last
two games - both away from home - the 'Jones Out' brigade still make an
appearance.
If your a regular on the terraces, or a
regular reader of the Internet Message Boards, it will come as no surprise that
a section of the Wolves support want Dave Jones out of the club.
That may be all well and good, but voicing
their opinions at the game and at this delicate time of the season is helping
nobody.
The fact that Jones has just spent almost
£5M on players ensures that, unless things go really bad, Dave Jones will not
be given the sack as Manager of Wolves.
Spending £5M like Jones has done this
season heaps pressure on himself. The expectation level again moves that one
notch higher and promotion via the first two places in the league seems even
more of a requirement, but voicing dislike or, at times even hatred towards
Jones helps nobody.
It's a fact that the majority of Wolves
Fans don't want Dave Jones out and, whilst a small proportion do, fans
should look at the bigger picture.
In a recent poll over 60% of fans were
happy with Jones in charge, something the 'Jones Out' brigade should take a hard
look at.
They may want Jones out, but they are in
the minority. Not only that, but Jones will not be given the sack.
Football is all about opinions. Everyone
has a different view and everyone believes they are right. The small minority of
Fans wanting the Manager out tarnish the others and their bad feelings towards
Jones will have a reflect on the team.
Maybe it's time to support Jones. Whether
you like him or not he's our Manager. Maybe it's time for the minority to stop
campaigning for something that's not going to happen and maybe it's time for
everyone to stick together and help move Wolves onwards and upwards.
