An FA cup tie four years ago was Dave Jones first ever game in charge of Wolves. Adam Proudlock scored an 83rd minute winner at the City Ground in an FA cup campaign which came to an end at the giant-killing Wycome Wanderers.
Since that day at the City ground Wolves have had a spell in the Premiership. Sadly, when the Wolves players step out at the City Ground tonight, Wolves will be in 20th place in the league and almost £30M poorer after the Manager has been backed to hilt financially.
The board recently described the start to this season as totally unacceptable and Wolves Chief Executive Jez Moxey described himself as being "sick to the stomach" with how the return to the football league has panned out.
A win tonight for Jones would get his four-game acid test off to a great start. A defeat? It's not even worth thinking about!
