FORMER Portsmouth Manager Harrdy Redknapp,
who resigned from the south-coast club yesterday, has added to the speculation
linking him with the Wolves job.
It has been speculated for several weeks
that Wolves had been holding out on making a managerial decision 'until
Redknapp's future at Portsmouth had been confirmed.
The former West Ham Manager had hinted that
he was set to leave Fratton park and the news of his departure would have come
as music to the Wolves' boards ears.
Redknapp has moved to favourite for the
Wolves job and Redknapp himself has added to the huge speculation linking him
with a move to Molineux.
"Let's not kid ourselves, Wolves is a great club and they're a bit like when I first went to Pompey.
"Everyone told me that was a sleeping giant that I would never wake up, but Wolves have already been woken up."
Said Redknapp.
Redknapp also added that he had been
contacted about a job, but would not confirm whether it was the Wolves'
job.
"Dave Jones did a great job in getting Wolves into the Premiership, but unfortunately they went down."
he also added.
"But they have great support, a terrific stadium and it's a great job for somebody."
