WOLVES Chief Executive Jez Moxey has finally got one over Willie McKay and Henri Camara after he stopped the Scottish Premier League failure joining Southampton on loan from Celtic.
WOLVES Chief Executive Jez Moxey has finally got one over Willie McKay and Henri Camara after he stopped the Scottish Premier League failure joining Southampton on loan from Celtic.
Camara walked out of Wolves in the summer after deciding he was bigger than Wolverhampton Wanderers and nightmare agent Willie McKay laughed right the way to the bank.
The Monaco based agent has a poor relationship with Wolves after several of his players suddenly signed for other clubs as they were on the verge of putting pen to paper on deals with Wolves. Wolves Fans believe McKay used Wolves to lure better deals for his players and the agent played a huge part in Camara's - nicknamed The Rat by Wolves fans - walk-out.
Moxey however has had the last laugh. After spending the £1.5M - a Brittish Record loan fee - on new sensation Ki-Hyeon Seol he has now stopped Camara joining Southampton on loan.
Southampton had agreed a deal to take the loan over from Celtic, but Moxey stood in the way, to the annoyance of McKay and the Premier League Failure.
"It seems Celtic and Southampton had agreed terms for a loan move, but Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey did not want a loan deal," McKay told skysports.com.
"He only wants to sell Henri and it looks like the move to Southampton will not happen. Henri will now stay at Celtic for the remainder of the season."
