Deano Moves On After "Tremendous" Years

FANS Favourite Dean Sturridge has said goodbye to the fans who idolised him as he prepares for the move south to QPR where he has signed on a free.

The popular striker, who made a terrific start to his career by scoring on his debut away at Wimbledon and then scoring a hat-trick on his home debut three days later has agreed to join fellow Championship side QPR.

Sturridge told the clubs official website "I had a tremendous three and a half years at Wolves and the fans were always behind me. I used to love it when they gave me the 'Deano' chant.".

"I like to think I have given them some excitement during my stay here but unfortunately because of injuries over the last 12 months, and then not being in the team, I didn't make as many appearances as I would have wanted to.

  "They are a special set of fans at Molineux and they deserve Premiership football. I hope they get their reward - if not this season then next." He said

Sturridge scored an impressive 33 goals from just 91 appearances. We wish him well.
