Pulis Slams Hoddle

STOKE City boss Tony Pulis has blasted Glenn Hoddle for comments the Wolves boss made about Stoke in his Programme notes.

Glenn Hoddle had warned the Wolves supporters in his programme notes not to expect a pretty game due to the nature of City's style of Football.

Pulis told the media after the game "Glenn was strong in his programme notes. My players are honest and they don't dive over. Glenn should show more respect,"

"I did not need to motivate my players. Glenn said what he had to say, but I don't talk about other teams, I am too respectful for that."

In response of the remarks made after the game Glenn Hoddle said "I was not meaning to be disrespectful to Tony. It is the story of my life that I say something and it gets taken the wrong way,"

"It is an honest opinion and if anyone who watched the match can tell me that Stoke play any other way then I would like to hear them."

Both Managers also reacted to an incident during the game in which Michael Dubery claims he was hit with a coin. The unsporting Duberry, who gestured to the fans throughout the second half had told Manager Pulis that he had been hit by a coin thrown from the crowd.

"Michael says their were three coins thrown at him and we don't want to see that in football. He has given them to the referee and we will let him deal with it," said Pulis.

"He got struck by a coin. I will not be making a formal complaint. It is up to the authorities to deal with it as they see fit."

In response to the incident, Wolves boss Hoddle said "As for the coins, the referee never said anything to me about it, but Rob Edwards certainly had something similar happen to him, but we have not made a fuss about it."
