Davis Delight As England Romp To Victory

MARK Davis declared scoring and captaining the England Under 17's at Molineux "The best feeling ever". Davis scored in a 3-0 win for the home nation.

Over 8,000 fans turned out at Molineux Stadium on Bank Holliday Monday as Mark Davis captained and scored for his England side at his home ground.

England boss John Peacock was delighted that Davis had scored on his own turf. Speaking to The FA, Peacock said "For Mark Davies also to score on his home ground is very pleasing. Mark's been with me for a number of years now and he's very level-headed and tenacious.

"He's got a lot more than that as well and it couldn't be better for him to score a goal here at Wolves."

Davis scored the second goal of the game as the home side romped to victory.  "I'd got lots of family and friends here to watch me this afternoon so it was great to get a goal as well. It was a good cross and when it came in I just went for it." Davis told WOW.

  "The last couple of months have been great for me training with the (Wolves) first team. I'm learning a lot - especially from Paul Ince who is looking after me.

"I've really enjoyed this afternoon. It's been the best feeling ever."
