Camara To Be Sold Whilst Silas Is Set To Return

WOLVES Chief Executive Jez Moxey has said that Henri Camara - currently on loan to Southampton - will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the end of the season. Meanwhile Silas will return to Molineux at the end of the season.

Camara, or The Rat as he is known in Wolverhampton, is currently warming the bench for Premiership strugglers Southampton.

Wolves have accumulated over £1.7M in loan fees so far for the former Sedan forward who famously went on strike at the beginning of the season and now Moxey has confirmed that Camara will be sold at the end of this current campaign.

"We are in selling mode when it comes to Camara, who has two years of his contract remaining. In an ideal world, he would be sold to the highest bidder following a competitive auction on or before June 30, this year." the Wolves Chief Executive told the clubs official website.

Moxey confirmed that three Premiership clubs had made enquires for the striker and added "Although Camara is for sale, we will not be pushed into a corner when it comes to our valuation of him - either because we have already received loan fees or because of the controversy he caused last summer when he refused to play for us in the Championship. He remains our player."

Meanwhile Portuguese International Silas (pictured left) could be returning to Molineux at the end of this current season. The attacking midfielder, who made just a handful of appearances in the Premiership before being sent on loan to Maritimo has said he would like the chance to try and repay Wolves for the faith they showed in him.

"I had a meeting at Molineux with Silas' agent recently and we talked through the options.He tells me that the player is happy to return to Wolves when the squad reports back for pre-season training and wants to repay the club by proving to everyone that he is worth the large investment we made acquiring him from Leiria two years ago" Moxey told WOW.

"Obviously, we would want the manager to have the option of assessing Silas in training and if he thinks the player can help improve the team we'd be delighted to welcome him back for next season."
