Hull City confirm our exclusive - Andrews to Hull

AS we exclusively revealed on the 14th May, Irish midfielder Keith Andrews has signed a two-year deal with Championship new-boys Hull City.

Once again we were the first news source to announce the proposed move (read our story from May 14th) and Hull City boss Peter Taylor today finally confirmed our exclusive.

It was believed that Glenn Hoddle wanted to sign Andrews as back-up for his midfield but the 24 year old would have had to try and work his way past Colin Cameron, Seyi Olofinjana, Paul Ince, Mark Kennedy, Ki-Hyeon Seol, Silas and most recently Rohan Ricketts. The midfielder chose to move away from Molineux.

Hull boss Peter Taylor told their official website "I'm delighted that Keith has agreed to join and I think he'll be an important player for us. He's a strong, good passing midfield player that I know uses his voice well on the pitch. Keith will be a very handy player to have in the squad."

"He has good experience at Championship level and I understand that it will be difficult for him to leave Wolves as it is such a big club.
