Bazeley Signs For Saddlers

As reported yesterday Darren Bazeley has put pen to paper on a deal that takes him just down the road to Black Country neighbours Walsall

Darren Bazeley once again linked up with former Wolves boss Colin Lee whom signed Bazeley from Watford on a free in 1999.

A delighted Lee said "I took him from Watford and always enjoyed working with him at Wolves. He is a right-back and that is a position we were in need of filling but Darren is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions."
"Darren has a proven track record in the First Division and I am looking forward to working with him this season," added Lee.

Bazeleys Wolves career was going very well until he suffered an injury near christmas 2000 , and he was'nt the same again.

After regaining fitness so we are lead to believe it makes me wonder why Darren didnt figure at Wolves towards the infamous collapse of last season when the right side of defence and midfield was aching for such a player , with Newton out of form and Muscat injured Bazeley i feel could have slotted in well but it wasnt to be.

Anyway we all wish Darren well in his new career at Walsall but not to well , he'll be back very soon at Molinuex when Walsall visit Wolves on Tuesday 13th August.
