We told you on the 4th July (read our story) that Wolves were in talks with Derby County for the Spanish Midfielder Inigo Idiakez and today the club have confirmed our news.

Derby County director of football Murdo Mackay said at the time of our original story that they [Derby] had not received a bid from Wolves for Idiakez, but Jez Moxey today went against club policy and confirmed that two bids had been rejected by the East Midlands Club.

Moxey confirmed that two bids, believed to be in the region of £750,000 had been offered and rejected. Speaking to the Express and Star, Moxey said "It is not normally our wish to do business in public but the club can confirm that two seperate and written offers were made for Inigo Idiakez"

We also believe that one of the bids which was rejected involved cash plus transfer listed midfielder and Derby Fan Kevin Cooper.

Despite news sources both locally and nationally dismissing the news, we stood by our story and we now understand that Moxey is preparing a third bid for the free-kick specialist.

Wolves were also interested in Striker Rasiak, but after Miller - who scored more goals last term than Rasiak - confirmed his intention to stay at Molineux, Interest in the Polish star cooled.
