Here We Go - Saints Match Preview

MATCH PREVIEW: SOUTHAMPTON Vs WOLVES - Here we go. The long long summer break has come to an end and it's off to Southampton for the opening game of the 2005/06 season.

Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has said Wolves have the capability of becoming Champions this term but the former Saints Manager knows it won't be easy.

"Amongst ourselves we have talked about us having the capability to be champions. If you are in a race you fix your mind to come first and win it." Said Hoddle.

"Coming second would also achieve our ambition of promotion but our focus is on winning."

Wolves have two doubts heading into the game with Skipper Paul Ince and Defender Jody Craddock both labelled as "doubtful".

Should either player miss out then Hoddle could play the same team he did against Aston Villa a week ago or bring in new signing and Hungarian International defender Gabor Gyepes to replace Craddock.

Neither George Ndah or Vio Ganea will be ready in time for the game so expect a strike partnership of Kenny Miller and Carl Cort. Leon Clarke will take a seat on the bench.

The game is live on Sky Sports One from 5.00pm and the Travel Club departs at 11.30.

Probable line up: Oakes, Naylor, McNamara, Gyepes, Lescott, Ricketts, Kennedy, Seol, Olofinjana, Miller, Cort.
