Wolves to go for Idiakez once again.

WOLVERHAMPTON Wanderers will this week aim to close in on Derby midfielder Inigo Idiakez as the chase for the 31 year old heats up.

Wolves have been linked with a move for Idiakez this week but we understand that this week has been labelled a "make or break" week in which Wolves will make a final attempt to land one of Glenn Hoddle's main targets.

We were the only media source who were right in our reports that the Idiakez chase was continuing and we believe that one final bid may be made by Wolves before the club move on to their next targets.

The Wolverhampton based Express and Star last week reported that Wolves had "been given signals from the midfielders camp that he is tempted by the prospect of Molineux" and claimed Wolves were ready to "tweak" their existing offer.

Chief Executive Jez Moxey has been in talks with a players club this weekend - possibly Derby County - and hinted during a live interview on BBC Radio WM on Friday that a new signing could be here "sooner rather than later".

Derby Fans would have been pleased with the news that Arsenal star David Bentley looked set for Molineux after insisting he would love to play for Wolves and Hoddle, but boss Glenn Hoddle yesterday ended the speculation, claiming Wolves were not interested in signing the midfielder.
